Six useful methods, fully visible.
These are conservative starting amounts, not universal medical doses. Diffuser designs, dropper sizes, age, health conditions and individual sensitivity differ. Follow product and device labels first.
Diffuse for atmosphere
You need: 100–150 mL ultrasonic diffuser water + 3–4 drops lavender.
Method: Fill to the water line, add 3 drops and run 30–60 minutes in a ventilated room. Start low; intermittent diffusion keeps the aroma noticeable.
Use a cotton-pad aroma cue
You need: 1 cotton pad or tissue + 1 drop True Lavender.
Method: Place near the bed or desk, not against skin and not directly under the nose. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Make a diluted adult body oil
You need: 10 mL jojoba, sweet almond or fractionated coconut oil + 2 drops lavender.
Method: Mix in a clean amber bottle for roughly 1% dilution. Patch-test for 24 hours; use only on intact skin.
Create a wash-out scalp ritual
You need: 15 mL jojoba, argan or coconut oil + 3 drops True Lavender.
Method: Massage gently for up to five minutes, leave for 20 minutes, then shampoo thoroughly. This is aroma care—not a hair-growth treatment.
Add to a bath base
You need: A supplier-approved fragrance-free dispersing bath base + 2–3 drops lavender.
Method: Follow the base supplier’s essential-oil directions, then mix through a full warm bath. Do not use plain milk, salts or undiluted oil as a dispersant.
Make a fresh-home room spray
You need: 60 mL prepared alcohol-based room-spray base + 10 drops Lavandin.
Method: Mix according to the base supplier’s directions, shake and spot-test fabrics. This adds scent; it is not a registered disinfectant.
Safety rules worth following
External use only. Do not ingest. Keep away from eyes, ears and mucous membranes. Stop for irritation, coughing or headache. Ask a qualified clinician before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, with sedating medication or for young children.
Pets: Never apply concentrated essential oils to a dog or cat. If your veterinarian agrees to brief diffusion, use a ventilated room the pet can leave; avoid diffusing around birds.
Two oils, two clear use cases
True Lavender for softer evening/body rituals. Lavandin for brighter daytime/fresh-home blends.
